in 1956, the Wallace Mining Museum is a walk thru mining experience. We educate, entertain and enlighten visitors on the Coeur d’ Alene mining district.

We have on display, the area’s written, graphical, and three-dimensional objects and documents of the Coeur d’Alene Mining District and the Silver Valley.

With over 50 exhibits, more than 5,000 photos and maps, and a one of a kind mock mine experience walk through, there is something for everyone to enjoy!
