"Tells the history of the Coeur d'Alene Mining District. great Smithsonian quality exhibits. Especially like the features on the 1890s mine wars, assassination of Idaho Gov. Stuenenberg, original Pulaski Tool prototype and the 1,000s of pictures on their digital database."
"Fun little museum with the most amazing 3D representations of local mines. They have an area where you explore exhibits done up like you are walking through a mine. The woman working the counter was friendly and very helpful."
"Wow!! What a great museum! They have a huge selection of antiques to see while you are visiting. There is a small walkable tour inside with so many items, you will need to make another trip back. If you are not familiar with mining practices, this museum will answer many questions for you. The staff was very nice and helpful too!!"
"This museum is wonderfully done! It's free but of course I suggest donating. The museum has a little "underground" section explaining the history and process of mining in the area. Nicely done and a must visit in the area!"
"The staff here are friendly and welcoming. The museum itself is quite small, but there's so much to learn about and see. My kids absolutely loved the scavenger hunt the staff gave them."
"We walk Wallace and drive through neighboring Burke ghost town whenever we're in this area. The mining museum is jam packed with mining history and the story of the Big Burn. Worth the stop here!"
"Cool museum with very informative displays about the process of mining and all the old school things they did back in the day mining for minerals."
